Chrysalis Action Center
One small action can cause a chain reaction
Your efforts can boost Chrysalis' critical services helping individuals and families affected
by domestic abuse
Suggestions on how you can start a chain reaction of support for Chrysalis’ domestic abuse programs:
At Home:
- Host an event in your home: A small dinner party or poker tournament, etc. asking guest to contribute to Chrysalis
- Election Night/Super Bowl/Oscar Party: Invite guests to your home to watch one of America’s most televised evenings.
Hold a contest to see who will win. Proceeds go to Chrysalis and winner gets bragging rights.
- Link your Bashas’ card to Chrysalis' group ID number (24386) at any checkout or service center. Each time you shop, Bashas’
will give 1% of your shopping dollars to Chrysalis.
At Work
- Donate through workplace giving or a matching gift program
- Blue Jean Day: Donate a certain amount to wear blue jeans to work
In your Club or Organization:
- Have a 50/50 raffle
- Sponsor a Fundraising Event like a fashion show, wine tasting, or golf tournament
- Have Chrysalis be the beneficiary of your organization’s fundraiser
Individually or as a Group:
- Participate in one of the already organized events (link to calendar)
- Use Goodsearch.com as your internet search engine. Designate Chrysalis (Phoenix, AZ) as your charity of choice. For every
search you do, 1 penny will come back to Chrysalis. This does add up!
Youth Actions
- Pajama Day/Team Day-Students and teachers donate to wear their pajamas or favorite sports attire to school on a designated day.
- Penny War- A school “penny war" with the classrooms competing against each other.
- Hold a Spell-A-Thon-Each or a Math-A-Thon-Students raise money by obtaining sponsors for number of correct spelling words or math
problems
- No Uniform Day- Students make a donation to wear regular clothing to school on a Friday.
- Spirit Chain- Have a school spirit competition by grade. Sell color strips of paper for .25 or .50 cents. Grades’ with the longest
chain wins!
Chrysalis can provide (if available) a guest speaker to help with the success of your event.
